Decentraland AI World Fair – All You Need to Know

Verse Digital will host the AI World Fair that will take place in the metaverse. Experts from companies like SingularityNET, NVIDIA, and Rainbird will also be sharing insights from their wealth of knowledge. The event will begin with the “Sci-Fi vs. Sci-Fact” conference on the first day.

In that session, everyone will explore the application of artificial intelligence in every aspect of life. The discussion will continue into the second day, where participants will examine the positive and negative impacts of AI technology. Over the course of these two days, panel conversations will be about job displacement, ethical usage, and properly managing data with AI.

After identifying the advantages and disadvantages, the participants will move toward how AI can improve various aspects of society on the third day. This ranges from gaming and fashion to web3 and other industries that utilize technology.

Dr. Ben Goertzel – CEO of SingularityNet and creator of Sophia the Robot, will lead discussions on how AI and the metaverse can work in synergy. In his words, “The relationship between these two technologies will drive the next phase of development.” Aside from Dr. Goertzel, James Dues and Ben Taylor – Rainbird founders, will also host panels on separate discussions.

The Game is partnering with Polygonal Mind and Vegas City to ensure that this experience is worth it. This includes the design and development of numerous attractions that players will enjoy. The Metaverse Pride comes just after the release of Game Jam. While making the announcement, the team revealed comprehensive details about the run of activities for this metaverse happening.

Details of the Decentraland Metaverse Pride Event

To make the most of this event, players will need to obtain the proper NFTs. They can get the right outfits by checking the Pride Section of the Decentraland NFT Marketplace. Participants will be able to access many Metaverse Pride experiences from the 27th of June. It all begins at the Pride Welcome Area.

At this point, two towering stones depicting lovers usher participants into the metaverse. In addition, people can choose if they want an NPC to accompany them through the venue. Users can select one of five avatars, each having its own personality and storyline. To enjoy the best experience, players should use the Decentraland Desktop Client.

After leaving the entrance, players will walk to the Pride Stage, where concerts and other activities will occur. Despite the early reveal, Decentraland did not give comprehensive information about this part of the metaverse. Instead, they encouraged interested participants to create time and visit this venue because this is where most interactions will occur.

Meanwhile, the Decentraland Metaverse Pride will not just be an entertaining event for contestants. There will also be various Pride Quests that users can undertake. From the 27th to the 29th of June, people will engage in various tasks and solve puzzles. Meanwhile, the game did not give further details regarding the rewards for completing these quests.

Details of the Decentraland Game Jam

The Game Jam is a competition that is aimed at designers. These creative individuals get the opportunity to utilize various tools within the metaverse to create experiences. Individuals will use their intuition to come up with various entries that will make gameplay in the virtual world more exciting.

This edition of the Game Jam will begin on the 19th of June. Participants will have from that date till the 10th of July. Despite the early announcement, Decentraland did not give comprehensive details about this contest. Nonetheless, there will likely be a follow-up press release highlighting critical information.

SDK 7 Full Release Now Out

As mentioned earlier, the Decentraland Game Jam will feature a complete version of the SDK 7. On the 6th of June, the team announced that this tool is now developed beyond the beta mode. This new edition features a better performance, an update of features, and an expansion of the external library.

The full version of SDK 7 makes development easier for content creators. This is because of the introduction of the Decentraland Editor scene builder. Players will be able to maintain full control of in-game scenes when building them visually.

Furthermore, this upgraded version allows people to enjoy seamless gameplay without overworking the creators for optimization. This means that creators focus solely on the building aspect. The system will auto-optimize gameplay features. More so, this tool is now available for use on other platforms.

Other features of the full SDK version include:

Wilderness P2E started as a small side project. However, it was transferred to a large and modern area after acquiring new Land in Decentraland. This new space is a Magical Lake surrounded by mountains and hills. This relocation aimed to offer players a more expensive gaming experience with improved earning mechanisms. According to the team, this initiative will help usher new players into web3 gaming.

Details of the Decentraland Wilderness P2E

Decentraland Wilderness P2E is a play-to-earn RPG set in the mystery and fantasy metaverse. In this virtual world, users interact with each other in the form of wizards or witches. Gameplay features a magical combat experience where players use spells and mythical tools to fight in-game adversaries they will encounter during exploration. They can also use these weapons against other gamers in the PVP mode.

Since its launch, the project has grown from being a side traction into a significant part of the Decentraland ecosystem. On the 31st of March 2022, Wilderness P2E launched $WLDY – the underlying utility and native token for this game on the Polygon blockchain. Players will use this as the medium for purchasing digital assets and receiving in-game rewards.  In August 2022, the Wildditch World Cup. This weekly parkour tournament offers both old and new players the opportunity to improve their skills. The competition is open to everyone, as the team intends to usher in more community members.

To further improve this play-to-earn gameplay option, the team is creating further earning possibilities for players. This will extend beyond overcoming non-player characters while exploring the virtual universe. Decentraland plans to introduce mini-quests that will serve as walkthroughs for inducting new users into this magical world. In addition, there will also be Wild Nights fantasy parties that will occur every Friday at 10 pm UTC.

Details of the Sandstorm Builder Contest 23

The Sandstorm Builder Contest 23 will run from the 11th of January till 23:59 UTC on the 22nd of January, 2023. This competition is a tribute to The Big Wheel – a legendary state fair and amusement park. In this regard, creators are expected to design unforgettable and splendid memories they had on a Ferris wheel as a child.

Meanwhile, this contest is only open to specific individuals. One of such participation requirement is having a Level 2 Verification badge. In addition, those who want to vote must also own the Sandstorm Staff and Beta Tester Badges.

Below are the rules for participation:

• The maximum size of the submission is 512 by 512.
• Although they can style the wheel as they wish, builders must use animations when designing a Ferris wheel.
• Avatars are optional, and you are not required to add them to your creation.
• Participants can only add up to 5000 faces. However, there are no node limits.

The In-World Builder in Decentraland

The in-world builder is literally the same as the web builder. Although they are quite similar, the in-world builder has a simpler interface. Therefore, those who have used the web version will be able to use it. You can create scenes by dragging items from your catalog and dropping them into your project. Once you are satisfied with the outcome, you can then deploy these scenes into the course of gameplay.

You can also move, rotate, scale and duplicate any item to suit the project that you want to create. While this builder is open to everyone, owners of land are the ones who will be able to make the most of it. They will be able to publish the projects on their plots after completion. Once they do this, they will see the after effect in the world Decentraland metaverse.

However, the in-game tool is yet to support the use of smart items or land metrics. It does not also allow users export or import scenes to or from other editing programs. Furthermore, you cannot add new packages to the catalog. Simply put, this new builder is still a work in progress.

Meanwhile, the two editors are compatible and players can use both to edit the same projects or scenes. However, the ultimate goal is for the in-world builder to replace the web version. Meanwhile, Decentraland is teasing users about updates that will be coming very soon. Therefore, gamers should stay tuned for for improvements

NFT Emotes in Decentraland

Speaking of creation and effects, NFT emotes are now available on Decentraland. Users can now customize and control their avatars like never before. There are currently three different emotes with different levels of rarity. Users can trade them on the in-game marketplace. In the future, there will be more of these in-game customization. Even creators will be able to design their own.

To customize your avatar with a NFT emote, use this guide below:

• Press B to open the emotes UI, then E to open the emote customization window
• Put your favorite emotes in slots 0-9, then select ‘Done’
• To make your avatar do an emote, press and hold B and the number key of the emote you would like to use.

Although they were introduced for the Milan Virtual Fashion Week, you can still use them within the game.
